Job summary

Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU – Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The right candidate will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, performing assessments and managing airways while collaborating with anesthesiologists and surgeons.

We’re looking for a BSN with an active RN license and BLS, plus 2 years of PACU/ICU/ED experience. The position offers 40 hours weekly, 8-hour shifts, and travel benefits including weekly direct deposit pay.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years PACU/ICU/ED experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vitals.
• Manage airway, oxygenation, and hemodynamics; respond to complications.
• Administer analgesics, antiemetics, and sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and care teams.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge.
• Document care in EMR with accuracy.
• Uphold patient safety and infection control standards.
