Responsibilities include recovery room nursing, post-operative assessments, monitoring vital signs, and collaboration with anesthesia and surgery teams. On-call rotations nightly and weekends are required, with scrubs provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license that allows practice in Wyoming.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Willing and able to participate in overnight and weekend call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Complete post-operative assessments and monitor recovery.
• Monitor vitals, airway status, pain, and patient response.
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Administer medications per orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and OR staff.
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in overnight and weekend call rotation.
• Follow hospital safety and infection prevention standards.

Take your PACU experience to Casper, Wyoming! We’re hiring experienced Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel contract with a guaranteed 40-hour weekly schedule.

This is a day-shift opportunity with varied morning start times and a manageable rotating call schedule. Multiple positions are available for qualified PACU nurses ready for their next travel assignment.

Job Title: Travel RN – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Contract Dates: September 21, 2026 – December 19, 2026

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Primary Shift: Approximately 5:30 AM–4:00 PM

Varied Start Times: Between 5:00 AM and 9:00 AM, depending on departmental needs

On-Call Requirements:

One overnight call shift per week from 7:30 PM–7:30 AM.

One weekend of call every four to five weeks.

Weekend call runs from Friday at 7:30 PM through Monday at 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities:

Provide safe and attentive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Complete post-operative assessments and closely monitor patients during recovery.

Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall patient response following procedures.

Identify and respond promptly to changes in a patient’s condition.

Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and hospital protocols.

Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, operating-room staff, and other clinical team members.

Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Participate in the required overnight and weekend call rotation.

Follow all hospital safety, infection-prevention, and patient-care standards.

Requirements:

Active RN license that allows the nurse to practice in Wyoming.

Current BLS certification.

Current ACLS certification.

Current PALS certification.

Ability to complete and satisfy Wyoming DFS requirements.

Willing and able to participate in overnight and weekend call rotations.

Must meet the facility’s travel-radius requirements.
