Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking a PACU RN with 2 years of experience for a day shift at a Level III Trauma Center in Washington. Active WA or compact RN license required. Epic EMR experience preferred; patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:5; no on‑call or weekend requirements.

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care including pre‑op assessment, intra‑op monitoring, and post‑op recovery. Lodging and meals stipends may apply per assignment terms.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with 2 years of experience across all phases of care and an active WA or compact RN license for a day‑shift position at a Level III Trauma Center.

Details

• Short term acute care, Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds
• PACU unit covering pre‑op, post‑op, and PACU phases of care
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:5
• No floating between units required
• No on‑call or weekend requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience across all phases of care required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• First‑time travelers considered if experienced in all phases of care

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care including pre‑op assessment, intra‑op monitoring, and post‑op recovery
• Skilled in airway management, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and management of various surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, ortho, and vascular cases
• Familiarity with pain management, PCA pump management, and RASS scale assessment
• Any color scrubs accepted
• No parking fee at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• May be required to float to sister facilities within the same health system
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50‑mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3‑month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Candidates must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per‑diem roles
