Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week assignment in Shelby, North Carolina. The role requires a commitment of 48 hours per week on night shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry and be certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 241 licensed beds, offering a supportive environment for professionals in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post-op and medical overflow patients in a Med/Surg unit.
• Nights shift covering 12 hours with 48 hours per week.
• Work collaboratively with CNAs and other support staff.

Skills

Cardiac rhythm interpretation

Non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone)

Wound care, drain/tube management

IV starts & central line management

Education

Minimum 18 months Med/Tele RN experience

BLS certification

ACLS certification

NIHSS certification
