Cross Country Nurses seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg with Telemetry in Nashville, TN. The role involves caring for incarcerated patients in a forensic unit, reading telemetry strips, and administering medications like heparin.

The position requires specific certifications before start and flexibility to float within scope of practice. 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, through 1/2/2027.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• ACLS (AHA) certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• CPI or MAB de-escalation training.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past three years.

Responsibilities

• Care for incarcerated patients in a forensic Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Read telemetry strips and respond to rhythm changes and alarms.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including anticoagulants like heparin.
• Float within scope of practice to support Medical/Surgical and Telemetry needs.
• Adhere to certification requirements and facility policies for start and ongoing requirements.
