Job summary

Concentric Healthcare Staffing in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry in a float pool. The assignment features 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with an expected 36 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years Med-Surg experience, BLS and NIHSS, and is proficient with EPIC. ACtive RN license and willingness to float across units are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg nursing experience; new graduates are not eligible.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Strong proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability and willingness to float between multiple units across campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care across multiple inpatient medical-surgical and step-down units, adapting to varying patient populations and unit workflows.
• Float between medical-surgical units and step-down units, as well as the emergency department for med-surg holds.
• Function independently with strong clinical judgment while upholding all hospital policies, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC.
• Adhere to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on standard Med-Surg units (may vary based on unit acuity and staffing).
• Work every other weekend as required; availability expected for days surrounding 1–2 holidays per contract.
