Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg/Tele RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Quincy, IL. This role involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, delivering high-quality patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. You will assess patients, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet diverse needs.

Required: RN license in IL, current BLS, and at least one year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience. NIHSS/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Illinois.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• NIHSS certification and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per standards.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians.
• Maintain safe, comfortable environment for post-procedure patients.
• Document vital signs, meds, treatments in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Manage multiple patients based on acuity and needs.
• Follow infection control and PPE guidelines.
• Advocate for patient needs and coordinate discharge plans.
• Perform other duties within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety and regulatory standards.
