Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for Med/Surg Ortho Tele on a night shift in a Level I Trauma Center setting. Travel-friendly assignment requiring 100 miles radius rule and seamless hospital experience.

Responsibilities include night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 4x12s, team nursing, and on-call duties. Active TN or compact RN license and 2+ years of Med/Surg/Ortho with trauma center background are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TN or compact) in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• ADN accepted for this position.
• Ortho experience required.
• Level I Trauma Center experience required.
• Large hospital experience required.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical Ortho/Telemetry unit of a Level I Trauma Center.
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM).
• Team nursing ratio of 1:12, split between 2 RNs, 2 LPNs, a Charge nurse, and a Med nurse.
• On-call duties as needed.
• Weekend rotation required as needed.
• Floating may be required between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius.
• Provide medical surgical and orthopedic nursing care in a telemetry setting.
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered.
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year\'s all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1.
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
