American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg-Oncology RN for a 26-week night shift contract in North Dakota. Requirements include active RN license (ND or Compact), BLS and NIHSS, and a minimum of 2 years RN experience.

The unit is a 31-bed Med/Surg-Oncology at a Level 2 trauma hospital. Night shifts are 12 hours, with rotating schedules, EPIC EMR for charting, and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 days and 1:5-6 nights. Travel-friendly, with a supportive, family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ND or Compact) required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR for charting is preferred.
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration.
• Two professional references with specified recency required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg-Oncology unit in a Level 2 trauma hospital with 31 beds.
• Care for adults and geriatrics with strokes, HTN, COPD, CHF, oncology chemo patients.
• No existing on-site oncology provider.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 days and 1:5-6 nights.
• 12-hour night shifts with rotating schedules; block scheduling considered.
• EPIC EMR used for charting.
• RNs titrate drips including Lasix and Heparin.
• Charge nurse available on each shift; typically no patient assignment.
• Traveler-friendly environment with a family-oriented culture.
