Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Plano, TX. The position requires a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of oncology experience, with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Travel nurses receive position-specific pay; benefits include insurance from day one, a 401(k) plan, weekly payroll deposits, and licensure reimbursements. Oncology certification is required for oncology assignments.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent oncology experience
• Current BLS certification accepted from AHA or ARC
• ONC (Oncology Nursing Certification) or chemo certification required for all RNs working in oncology
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes oncology/hematology patients receiving chemotherapy and cancer-related care
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy
• Maintain up-to-date skills checklist, professional references, and state board license verification
• Dress code and additional credentialing requirements may apply
• No Canadian SSNs accepted
