- Outpatient oncology infusion setting within a 27-chair Cancer Center caring for an average of 50 patients per day
- Provides oncology, non-oncology, and supportive treatments
- Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts from 0800-1630
- 13-week assignment
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
- ONS Chemotherapy Administration Provider Card preferred
- Strong computer systems literacy or ability to be trained
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures
- Provides comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and treatment coordination for oncology and non-oncology patients
- Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge processes including patient and family education
- Collaborates closely with an inter-professional care team and delegates tasks appropriately
- Promotes a positive, healing environment while maintaining nursing excellence and evidence-based practice standards
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction and safety monitoring
