Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Glendale, Arizona. You will provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op care, and assist with medication administration.

The role requires BLS, ACLS and NIH certifications and at least 2 years of RN experience. Perks include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401k, sick pay, CE programs and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience required.
• Must hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH certification or requirement may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op Med Surg patients.
• Administer and document medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs as needed.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-op care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with patients who may be confused or uncooperative.
• Stand, walk, and lift heavy loads for extended periods.
