Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in California (or eligibility to obtain) as applicable to the assignment.
• Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting.
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills suitable for a Med/Surg environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, administer medications, and document care accurately.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines and communicate with patients and families to support optimal outcomes.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately while maintaining supervision and accountability.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
