Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg assignment in Willits, CA. This travel, temporary role runs for 13 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

Requirements include CA RN licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS and PALS, and 2+ years of RN experience (BSN preferred). Epic EMR experience is required. Onboarding and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensure: RN in California (active).
• Certifications: CPR/BLS; ACLS and PALS.
• Experience: 2+ years RN; acute care preferred.
• Education: BSN preferred.
• Skills: EPIC experience required; Cerner not required but noted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for Med Surg patients.
• Assess health status, develop and implement care plans.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies; wound care.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team; ensure safety and infection control.
• Evaluate progress, participate in discharge planning and transitions.
• Supervise nursing staff and document in EHR (Epic).
