Job summary

American Traveler is actively hiring an experienced Med/Surg Neuro RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital in Fargo, ND. Active ND or compact RN license and trauma experience are required, plus BLS/NIHSS certifications. Travel nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency strongly preferred.

The nurse will work a 13-week assignment on a 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit, with 3x12-hour night shifts, rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Floats across Sanford Health Fargo centers are possible.

Qualifications

• Active ND license or compact license required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1–2 years Med/Surg nursing in a large hospital.
• Prior Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignments.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment on 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in a Level 1 trauma hospital.

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4–5:1 days and 6:1 nights.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Neuro RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring active ND or compact RN license and prior travel and trauma experience.

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1-2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (200-250+ beds)
• Prior Level 1 trauma experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignment completion required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Neuro patient care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment on a 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
• 3x12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday
• Rotating day/night schedules possible based on unit needs
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Required to float to any Med/Surg unit across all three Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo
• Responsible for patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates must disclose any previous employment with Sanford Health
• Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to application
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living 60-80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate
