Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care in Wyandotte, Michigan. This assignment runs 13 weeks with a 36-hour week, 12-hour night shifts, and travel employment.

Requirements include an active RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS/ACLS, 18 months LTAC experience, and proficiency with vents, Trachs, Drips, ET tubes and Tele-strips. Benefits and full credentialing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program required.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Eighteen months of LTAC nursing experience.
• Experience with vents, Trachs, Drips, ET tubes; able to read Tele-strips.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcut, IV).
• Educate patients and family on procedures and illness management.
• Monitor telemetry readings and alert team to irregularities.
• Start IVs and draw blood; manage patient flow from admission to discharge.
