Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Dayton, Ohio. The assignment runs for 6 weeks with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, completed an accredited nursing program, and has BLS and ACLS certifications along with LTAC experience. Responsibilities include patient care, admissions, discharges, med administration, and family education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Eighteen months of recent LTAC RN experience preferred.
• Ability to monitor telemetry and manage vents/airways.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 LTAC patients.
• Perform admissions and discharges in a fast-paced LTAC unit.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures.
• Interpret telemetry readings and communicate with the medical team.
