Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an RN for a travel assignment in New Britain, CT. This LTAC role requires 13 weeks of work with 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts, focusing on high-acuity patient care and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of LTAC experience, a current BLS, and state licensure eligibility. The position includes comprehensive benefits and a tax-free stipend; travel nursing registration is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for state licensure.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vital signs and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and nutrition; supervise LPNs and CNAs.
