Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a day-shift Travel RN for a Long Term Care position in Beaver Dam, WI. The role requires an active WI license (or compact), BLS certification, and at least one year of elderly or LTC experience.

You will work in a skilled nursing facility with a 70-resident census, using ECS/eClinicalWorks EMR, and follow 8-hour day shifts with alternating weekends/holidays. Travel/liscensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required by start date.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in elderly or long-term care settings.
• Ability to perform clinical skills such as IVs, catheterization, and ostomy care.
• Submission of two professional references (one from a supervisor and one from a supervisor or peer).
• Travel and Licensure Reimbursements included.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long-term care/skilled nursing facility attached to a hospital.
• The unit serves 70 residents, primarily elderly and those with dementia or rehabilitation needs.
• Patient ratios are 1:20 for RNs, 1:20 for LPNs, and 1:8 for CNAs.
• Schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage required.
• EMR systems used are ECS and eClinicalWorks.
• Block scheduling with 4 nurses and 7 aides during day/pm shifts.
• Floating to other units may be required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Responsibilities include charting, assessments, medication administration, and charge duties.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team including therapy, administration, social workers, and dietary.
