Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee the evening shift in a high-volume hospital SP department. You will supervise staff, oversee cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of instruments, manage storage and transport, and coordinate instrument movement across facilities.

• Experience in a comparable facility size required (500+ bed facility experience for large academic hospital settings)
• Strong supervisory or leadership experience in sterile processing required

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Sterile Processing (SP) staff on an assigned evening shift
• Oversee cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation
• Manage storage and transport of surgical sets, instrumentation, and patient care equipment
• Coordinate transport of borrowed instruments and equipment across multiple facility entities and clinics
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Provide case picking education and training to staff
• Ensure collaborative communication across all parties involved in instrument transport and borrowing
• Coordinate staff attendance at educational programs and facilitate ongoing learning
• Monitor and report quality and productivity metrics within the department on a regular basis
• Incorporate safety and customer service expectations into daily operations
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
