Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP assignment in Omaha, NE. The role requires NRP certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of L&D experience, with a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Responsibilities include managing a 14-bed L&D unit on a Level 2 trauma hospital, titrating drips, supporting water births, and following EPIC EMR workflows. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NE or Compact state.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience.
• Driver's license required to verify permanent address.
• Two professional references: one supervisor (last 12 months) and one peer/supervisor (last 3 years) with dates of employment and rehiring eligibility.

Responsibilities

• LDRP unit within an acute care, Level 2 trauma hospital.
• 14-bed L&D unit with staffing per AWHONN standards.
• Manage patient population including intrauterine pregnancy, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, water births.
• Titrate drips (Pitocin, mag, insulin, antihypertensives, hemorrhage meds).
• Charge nurse assigns patients each shift.
• Utilize EPIC EMR.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (0630-1900 or 1830-0700).
• Weekend rotation every third weekend; holiday rotation every 3 years.
• Potential to float to other OB floors or campuses.
