Job summary

TotalMed RN is hiring a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Puyallup, Washington. The assignment runs 16 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts in the Birth Center, and involves travel employment. Requires 2 years’ L&D experience, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification.

Responsibilities include active labor support, cervical exams, fetal monitoring, epidurals, couplet care, and NICU coordination. Travel nurses float to competent areas and follow unit protocols.

Qualifications

• RN with 2+ years of L&D experience and ability to manage labor and delivery tasks.
• Proficient in fetal monitoring, cervical exams, and intrapartum care.
• Experience with epidurals, IV medications, and couplet care workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Level II perinatal center patients during active labor.
• Perform cervical exams, monitor fetal status, and assist with deliveries.
• Administer meds, manage epidurals, and support mother/baby care post-delivery.
• Operate EPIC Stork, GE Centricity, and Pyxis systems; adhere to safety protocols.
