Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 26-week travel assignment in Seattle, WA. This role offers shift work on 12-hour nights with a pathway to comprehensive benefits and a support-oriented team.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of Labor and Delivery experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certifications. Additional certifications may be required depending on hospital needs and patient complexity.
Qualifications
- One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Valid RN license in the relevant state
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP Certification required
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health during labor
- Administer medications and treatments per obstetric protocols
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery
- Provide immediate postpartum care and neonatal assessment
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians and anesthesiologists for coordinated care
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
- Document care and participate in quality improvement initiatives
