Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Odessa, TX. This role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour nights and an ASAP start. You will provide obstetric patient care and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure in Texas, BLS, and NRP certifications, with preferred obstetric certifications listed in the job details.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN.
• Current RN license in Texas and compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric protocol.
• Assist during labor, delivery, and postpartum exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members.
