Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby/Nursery night shift position, requiring OB experience and AWHONN certification, on a maternity care unit in Virginia.

Night shift is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 3 couplets per nurse; L&D 1:1 for active labor. EMR systems Centricity Perinatal and Meditech are used, with a four-week weekend rotation and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required.
• OB experience required.
• AWHONN certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in Labor & Delivery, cesarean sections, and post-partum & newborn care.
• Support OBED triage, inductions, and midwife-attended deliveries.
• Team includes couplet nurses, birth response nurses, L&D nurses, scrub techs, and clinical coordinators.
