Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a experienced Travel RN in Labor & Delivery for Gillette, Wyoming. Start ASAP for a 13-week assignment in a Maternal Child department, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU units.

The role requires WY or compact RN licensure, 2+ years perinatal hospital experience, and certifications (BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring). Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a 36-hour workweek and weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

Active WY or compact RN license or eligibility for temporary WY license.
Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum.
Current BLS from American Heart Association, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications.
Experience with Pitocin and/or magnesium drips.
Substantial experience managing high-risk antenatal/perinatal patients in a tertiary-level setting.

Responsibilities

Care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Well-Baby, and NICU settings.
Maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in Labor & Delivery; 1:1 for mothers in active labor.
Support Postpartum nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:5 to 6.
Coordinate care with Maternal/Child manager and multidisciplinary teams.
Deliveries under 32 weeks gestation transferred to another facility.
