Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Tacoma, WA. Start ASAP for a 17‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour nights. Travel employment with per diem and comprehensive benefits.

Candidate must have 2+ years L&D experience, current RN license, and certifications (BLS, NRP, AWHONN). EPIC EMR proficiency required; Unit features 15 labor rooms and 3 ORs. Free parking and salary listed per week.

Qualifications

Active RN license required.
Current BLS, NRP, and intermediate fetal monitoring (AWHONN) certifications required.
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience required, 5+ years preferred.
High acuity experience in labor management and OR circulation.
Experience with reading fetal monitoring strips and EPIC EMR is required.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with multiple labor rooms and beds.
Care for high-acuity obstetric patients including high-risk conditions and surgical deliveries.
Maintain patient safety and nurse staffing ratios per guidelines.
Document and monitor using EPIC EMR throughout shifts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia and physicians.
