Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Sidney, MT. The role focuses on labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care with a support team and competitive pay. Start ASAP with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

You will administer medications, monitor fetal status, and collaborate with obstetric specialists to ensure high-quality patient care while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques
• Assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams
• Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn stabilization
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital policies, state laws, and guidelines for obstetric nursing
• Perform other duties within labor and delivery scope
