Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA focused on Labor & Delivery. Starts 11/16/2026 on a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.

The role requires relocation outside a 50-mile radius of Atlanta and night shifts (12 hours) on a 12x3 schedule. Responsibilities include direct patient care, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and postpartum/newborn care, with coordination across obstetric teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Georgia.
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications as required for L&D.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including admission screening and maternal-fetal assessment.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals; respond to distress and intervene per protocol.
• Administer medications (analgesia, labor augmentation, antibiotics) and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist with intrapartum procedures and events (epidurals, cesarean sections) and maintain sterility.
• Deliver postpartum and newborn care with newborn assessment and parent education.
