Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Interventional Radiology role in Indiana. Requires active IN or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years' experience, with on-call availability and 4x10 shifts.

The role involves circulating and scrubbing in IR procedures, EP/IR Lab support, and patient care across pre/post procedures. Local candidates are preferred, with travel opportunities for qualified staff.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or Compact required and in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or RQI)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE-accredited program at graduation
• 2 supervisor references required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line insertion/management, and implanted port care and maintenance
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, mapping, cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
• Experience with pacemaker insertion and LAA closure
• Experience with vascular studies/procedures and central venous access including PICC and port placement
• Experience with dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventional procedures
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and TAVR
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
• Supports Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Involves circulating and scrub procedures, pre/post procedure care, and medication administration
• Day shift schedule: 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday, 6:30a-5:00p
• On-call required approximately one evening per week and every 4th weekend with a 30 minute response time
• Floating required to other units within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Cerner charting system used; experience preferred
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in on interventional and cardiac procedures
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to applyPrevious IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility
