Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse - Radiology in Lawrenceville, GA to join a hospital imaging department for a 13-week contract starting October 5, 2026. The role includes 40-hour weeks, four 10-hour daytime shifts, and on-call 2–3 shifts monthly.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care for IR and imaging procedures, pre/post-procedure assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and collaboration with radiology staff. GA RN license and IR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia.
• Minimum 2 years of recent radiology/interventional radiology nursing experience.
• American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Nursing degree (AS/BSN acceptable).
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with 10-hour shifts; on-call availability 2–3 shifts per month.
• Experience with nursing prep/recovery for IR, CT, US, MRI, NM, and fluoroscopy procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and imaging procedures; include pre-procedure assessment, monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor vitals, and respond to changes in patient condition; ensure safety and infection control standards are followed.
• Collaborate with radiology technologists and physicians to prepare for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support equipment setup and turnover.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; communicate effectively during handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, expected recovery, and discharge instructions; reinforce safety and post-procedure care.
• Maintain flexibility for on‑call shifts and holiday coverage as required by site policy.
