Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a National Internal Traveler RN to provide direct clinical nursing care within your scope of practice. You will deliver independent patient care and continuously enhance your skills through ongoing education and professional development in dynamic hospital settings.

Daily responsibilities include applying advanced patient care techniques, guiding support staff, and ensuring readiness with IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty areas such as medical/surgical, telemetry, ICU, ER, OR or pediatrics.
• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the practicing state(s) and/or compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional specialty credentials may be required by the facility and state.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while pursuing patient comfort.
• Anticipate and address informational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guide and direct Patient Care Technicians in patient care tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment setup and use (IV pumps, monitors, drainage devices).
• Initiate emergency measures, including CPR and safety protections.
• Assist with patient care duties such as drainage management, ambulation, and hygiene.
