Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Hyperbaric RN to provide care in the hyperbaric unit. The role requires UHMS training, current RN license, and wound care expertise, with a 2:1 patient ratio and day-shift schedule.

Responsibilities include operating hyperbaric chambers, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining safety per UHMS and NFPA guidelines. Prior casting and infection control experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required at time of consideration.
• ACLS and BLS required; CHT or CHRN preferred.
• UHMS 40-hour Hyperbaric Treatment training completed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital setting.
• Wound care experience and dressings including alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, enzymatic debriding agents, silver products, and wound vac therapy preferred.
• Experience with casting preferred.
• Knowledgeable in infection control and PPE; ulcer risk assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Hyperbaric unit providing care to patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).
• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers and ancillary equipment per UHMS and NFPA safety guidelines.
• Serve as Wound Clinician providing preventive and supportive wound care in coordination with medical staff.
• Patient ratio of 2:1.
