Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for flexible part-time assignments through FirstChoice. Nurses will float across hospital locations and regions, applying professional standards to patient care and outcomes.

Premium pay and a variety of shifts support work-life balance. Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree and an active RN license, with 18+ months in Med Surg/Tele/PCU or 2+ years in other specialties.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18+ months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, PCU; 2+ years for other specialties.
• Credentials required per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC); BLS, ACLS, PALS via American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital locations/regions as needed.
• Practice with standard nursing processes: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license and scope.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Adapt to new ideas, responsibilities, and competing priorities.
