Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN First Assist for a travel nursing job in Fort Mohave, Arizona. This position is a First Assistant role requiring 18 months of acute perioperative experience and RN licensure.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with 9-hour day shifts. Travel, housing options, and comprehensive benefits are included through MedPro’s travel program.

Qualifications

• 18 months of recent Acute Care Perioperative Nursing experience as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Active RN License.
• RNFA program completion meeting AORN standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon by performing intra-operative functions during surgery, including retraction, hemostasis, tissue manipulation, and wound closure.
• Provide direct patient care as first assistant to the surgeon during operative procedures.
• RNFA will perform first assisting under the direct supervision of the primary surgeon.
• RNFA will immediately communicate any patient care issues verbally to the surgeon.
