Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Trauma Level II hospital in Texas. TX or compact RN licensure and ED experience are required, along with multiple certifications.

The role involves night shifts 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, rotating weekends and major holidays. Expect a fast-paced ED environment and a collaborative team of over 120 staff members, with Ascension branding and on-site cafeteria options.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in ED.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale and Ascension CPI certifications are required.
• NUrsys license verification and primary source verification due within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Works in a fast-paced Trauma Level II ED serving as Primary Stroke and STEMI center.
• Maintains RN ratios of 4:1 in main ED and 3:1 in Vertical Care.
• Supports a 29-bed ED with additional surge beds and dedicated Trauma Room.
• Collaborates with a large ED team of over 120 associates and on-shift providers.
• Night shift 6:45 PM–7:15 AM; rotating weekends and major holiday coverage.
