Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Endoscopy for a Bangor, Maine assignment. This 13-week travel position starts 09/28/2026, offering a 36-hour week on days with hospital-based duties. Local and traveling RNs are welcome, with clear supervision by Unit Director and Clinical Leader.

This role emphasizes direct patient care and teamwork in a high-acuity setting. The assignment includes credentialing support, nationwide travel opportunities, and fast onboarding.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license or compact license.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, IV certification.
• Endoscopy or related procedural experience; 1-3 years preferred.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting on day shift.
• Strong communication and teamwork; multitask and prioritize care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the medical team to deliver direct patient care for endoscopy patients, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure monitoring.
• Assist endoscopy procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare rooms and equipment, and manage IV access and medications as ordered.
• Monitor patient status during procedures, document vital signs, and provide post-procedure recovery care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of care, procedure notes, and patient education; communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and during handoffs.
• Adhere to Maine Board of Nursing and hospital policies; practice patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement principles.
• Demonstrate teamwork and strong communication, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
