Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse, Endoscopy for Bangor, Maine. This travel assignment starts 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting.

Weekly pay ranges from $2,221 to $2,279 with 36 guaranteed hours per week on days. Local travelers within 50 miles may receive a $10/hour lower local rate.

Responsibilities include pre/post-procedure care, sterile technique, room prep, IV management, and thorough documentation with strong teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license or compact license.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, IV certification.
• Endoscopy or related procedural experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a day-shift schedule.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; capacity to multitask and prioritize care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the medical team to deliver direct patient care for endoscopy patients, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure monitoring.
• Assist endoscopy procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare rooms and equipment, and manage IV access and medications as ordered.
• Monitor patient status during procedures, document vital signs, and provide post-procedure recovery care in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation of care, procedure notes, and patient education; communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and during handoffs.
• Adhere to requirements from the Maine Board of Nursing and hospital policies; practice patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement principles.
• Demonstrate teamwork and strong communication, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
