Job summary

Fidelity On Call is seeking a Travel RN for an Endoscopy Center in Champaign, IL. This full-time position covers 4x9-hour day shifts with pay up to $70–$75 per hour plus travel, housing, and meal allowances. The RN will support endoscopy care from pre-procedure through post-procedure stages, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

Required ASN or BSN, active IL RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Two+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient medical histories, start IVs, explain procedures, and educate patients.
• Monitor vital signs and assist physician with endoscopy procedures and biopsies.

• Document patient data and ensure safety in the procedure area.
• Support CRNA during cases involving anesthesia as needed.

• Pay Rate: Up to $70-75/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change.

Endoscopy RNs manage patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. They act as patient advocates in fast-paced hospital or outpatient clinic environments.

• Pre-procedure Duties: Assessing patient medical histories, explaining the procedure, answering questions, placing IVs, and administering sedatives. [
• Intra-procedure Duties: Monitoring vital signs, observing for pain or adverse reactions, and directly assisting the physician with scope operations and biopsy collections.
• Post-procedure Duties: Managing patient recovery from anesthesia, providing discharge instructions, and charting patient data.
• Requirements: Active RN license (ADN or BSN), BLS/ACLS certifications

• -Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and that is based on patient and family needs.
• -Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patientcare procedures.
• -Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.
• -Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
• -Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues.
• -Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
• -Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solution.

• -The overall role of the professional RN in Digestive Health is to define, direct, supervise and evaluate patient care directly and via delegation to others by using the nursing process.
