Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a California-licensed RN for an Emergency Department position. The role requires 2 years of ED experience and EPIC proficiency, with night shifts and a 4:1 patient ratio in a 34-bed ED.

Open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius; first-time travelers not accepted. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and more.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MAB (ENPC accepted in place of PALS).
• Experience managing diverse ED presentations including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory conditions, trauma and cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG interpretation and splinting.
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year.

Responsibilities

• 34-bed Emergency Department treating patients of all ages and diagnoses.
• Basic ED level with stroke and STEMI receiving certification; no trauma designation.
• 4:1 patient ratio.
• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric population.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1800-0630.
• Every other weekend rotation required.
• No on-call requirements.
