MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in New Albany, Indiana. This is a travel assignment with 13 weeks duration, requiring 36 hours per week on a night shift. Start date is 10/05/2026.

The role focuses on step-down/observational care for acute patients. Requirements include an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS certification, and 18 months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience.

• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience.
• Other client facility requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and signs of physiological and psychosocial changes.
• Document care plans with nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
• Implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Revise the care plan as medical conditions change.
