What You'll Do

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Identify actual/potential patient problems and needs for teaching.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care.

Requirements

• **Education:** Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• **Experience:** Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• **Licenses & Certifications:** Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
• **Licenses & Certifications:** BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
