Job summary

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiology department's Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital setting
• Provide OR/IR coverage for adult and geriatric patient populations undergoing cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
• On-call response time requirement of 30 minutes
• Call requirements include every 3rd weekend and at least 16 on-calls within a 6-week period

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required upon hire and must be maintained
• Minimum of one year of hands‑on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care setting, required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with physicians to provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and calibrated
• Manage supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Continuously assess and document patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates

Pay

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,674 - $2,870. The $2,870 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax‑free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer‑paid taxes and related costs.
