American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Observation Unit RN with EP Lab/Cath Lab experience to provide pre- and post-procedure care for high-acuity cardiac patients.

You will work 3x12 hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, with rotating call approximately every 4–6 weeks. Start ASAP for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, AZ. Competitive pay and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days
• 2 years RN experience minimum
• 1+ years in a specialty area
• Experience in PACU/ICU/Telemetry/Cath Lab or Surgery Center may be considered
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in past 12 months
• Valid driver's license and US SSN required

Responsibilities

• Admit and prep patients for Cath procedures, CV and TEE
• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures including CV and TEE
• Recover patients after Cath procedures with conscious sedation
• Discharge patients including teaching, documentation, and follow-up instructions

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Observation Unit RN with EP Lab/Cath Lab experience to provide pre and post-procedure care for high-acuity cardiac patients.

Details

• Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) providing pre and post-procedure care for Cath Lab patients
• High-risk, high-acuity patient population
• Performs bedside procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV)
• Shift schedule varies among 3x12s day shifts (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030)
• Rotational call required approximately every 4-6 weeks, including Saturday 0700-1700 and Sunday 0700-1400

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• 2 years of RN experience required
• 1+ years of recent experience in specialty required
• Experience in PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center considered on a case-by-case basis
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Admits patients and preps them for Cath procedures, Cardioversions, and TEE procedures
• Sedates, circulates, and documents bedside procedures including CV and TEE
• Recovers patients following Cath procedures involving conscious sedation
• Handles patient discharge including teaching, documentation, and physical discharge
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
