Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Mission Viejo, California. The ideal RN brings 1-2 years of case management experience and will coordinate comprehensive short- and long-term care plans for patients across settings.

You’ll collaborate with clinicians, document records, and liaise with insurers to optimize outcomes while managing a fluctuating caseload in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years case management experience
• BLS certification required
• Additional certifications may be required for assignment
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess new patients
• Create and update care plans (short and long term)
• Educate families and patients about resources and options
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and social workers
• Document and submit medical records
• Communicate with insurance companies to appeal decisions
• Support cost-effective outcomes by monitoring trends
