Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN OB Case Manager for an outpatient specialty clinic setting in Alaska. The role requires an active AK RN license and prior OB case management experience.

The position features a 15-week assignment, a Monday–Friday day shift, and potential cross-department float as needed. Housing is not provided; travel-related reimbursements may be included.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• OB case management experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Case management certification preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory OB/GYN specialty clinic setting.
• Provide outpatient case management and nursing care across the continuum of care.
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule.
• 15-week assignment length.
• May float to other departments or assignments as needed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Coordinate with providers and interdisciplinary teams for referrals and follow-up.
• Educate patients and families on care, medications, and discharge needs.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR.
• Advocate for patients and help navigate the healthcare system.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Provide guidance to ancillary staff and mentor staff, students, and peers.
• Must live at least 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible.
• Housing and transportation are not provided; responsibility of candidate.
• Start date no earlier than 5 weeks after fingerprint processing.
