American Traveler, LLC is hiring an RN for a PCU/Telemetry role in Alabama. The position requires an active Alabama or Compact RN license and at least 2 years of cardiac monitoring experience.

Responsibilities include提供 continuous cardiac monitoring and emergency response in telemetry/stepdown with a 1:5 patient ratio. Shifts are 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements and hospital housing available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Alabama or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
• Charting system experience required (any EMR).
• Ability to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols.
• Experience with cardiac drips without titration.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.
• Experience with central and peripheral line care/management.
• Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Work in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown) at a hospital.
• Requires MS/Tele and Telemetry work setting experience.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Float to MedSurg units as needed.
• Every other weekend required.
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care in telemetry/stepdown.
• Must work at least one holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day.
• First-time travelers welcome to apply.
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for travel position.
• Requested time off limited to 7 days.
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a different pay rate.
• Hospital housing is available.
