Job summary

Atlas MedStaff is seeking a 13-week travel RN for a night shift in Denton, TX, caring for cardiac and stroke patients on a PCU unit at Medical City Denton. This contract emphasizes teamwork, compassionate care, and flexible coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM.

The role involves managing complex cases such as cardiac drips, BIPAP therapy, post-procedure recovery, and Tele monitoring, with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 as needed). Experience as a preceptor or charge nurse is valued.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or Compact State
• Experience on a PCU or acute cardiac unit preferred
• BLS/ACLS certification required or able to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care for cardiac and stroke patients on a PCU unit
• Monitor patient status using telemetry and bedside monitors
• Administer prescribed medications and manage cardiac drips as needed
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary teams to ensure patient safety and timely care
