American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a fast-paced, multi-specialty procedural suite in California. The role requires 3+ years of cath lab experience and an active CA RN license.

The schedule features 4x10-hour day shifts, weekends alternate with weekend call, and generous housing and travel reimbursements accompany competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required (must be through AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of current cath lab experience required.
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, airway management, and procedural processes.
• Experience with cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors required.
• Experience with balloon pumps required.
• Driver's license copy required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including employment dates and rehire eligibility.

Aufgaben

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab with 5 procedural suites
• Suites are designated for coronary, peripheral, vascular/neuro, and electrophysiology (EP) cases
• Caseload varies from 10-22 cases per day across all suites
• Handles Cardiac/Coronary, Vascular, Peripheral, General IR, EP, and Neuro interventional cases
• Cath lab documentation uses Merge EMR while hospital system uses Cerner
• Schedule consists of 4x10-hour day shifts with start times between 0630-0730
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Travelers are first to float within the department
• Cases are supported by 2 techs with RN managing conscious sedation
• Scrubbing not required of RNs
• Provide direct patient care including conscious sedation management during cardiac, vascular, peripheral, IR, EP, and neuro interventional procedures
• Facility operates as a STEMI Center requiring call coverage for emergent cardiac cases
• Basic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Travelers will not be cross-trained across suites and must already have current cath lab experience
• Radiology badge provided by the staffing agency
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the experience requirement
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year
