Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab assignment in Easton, Maryland. The role requires 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, and 8-hour shifts as a Travel position.

The RN will assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, monitor vitals, perform patient education, ensure informed consent, and support post-procedure care. ACLS/CPR may be required, with HIPAA and confidentiality expectations.

Qualifications

• RN with current state license
• ACLS may be required by state/client contract
• Minimum 2 years critical care or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic procedures and interventional procedures
• Circulates and scrub during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Discharge teaching with patients and families including procedural, medications, activities, care of the surgical site and lifestyle/dietary changes
• Ensure consent paperwork is accurately completed
• Performs examination of the patient pre and post-catheterization
• Manages administrative aspects of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology patients; monitors vital signs
• Monitors for signs of infections or side effects of the procedure
• Monitors patient sedation levels during and after the procedure
• Prepares patients for procedures
